| John Haglund with the 54th MP Detachment (rightat Ft. Hunter Liggett, California. The MPs were responsible for patrolling 167,000 acres of hills and valleys. The base was where new weapons systems were tested including the Apache gunship, tanks and infantry maneuvers. On the right is one of the squads and their mascot. |

| Unknown MPS patrol the DMZ in Korea. A North Korean defected at the DMZ and the communist started shooting at the defector and then at the MPs. MPs take cover on the hill and one returns fire from the kneeling position. |
