| Saigon traffic during the day could be hectic, to say the least, but an eerie, surreal Saigon during curfew hours. The city went from the sounds of thousands of motor scooters and chatter to silence where foot steps could be heard on the cobble stone pavements. The only people allowed out were MP patrols and QC (Vietnamese MP patrols). Guards at static posts would give you a wave and sometimes you'd stop for a chat, but otherwise.....absolute silence. This dog may have been clearly heard barking in the distance. |
